In case you were wondering, I lost those two other games that I mentioned in the Losing Streak post from June 30th. So I had tickets to the Yankee game against Minnesota last night and I walked into the Stadium a dismal 1-9 on the season and currently on a nine game slide.
The Bronx Bombers stepped up to bat for me last night as A-Rod gave the Yankees a 2-0 lead with a two run bomb in the bottom of the first. Robinson Cano and Derek Jeter each had home runs for the Yanks as they handled the Twins 12-4. Cano’s shot soared into the upper deck into Josh Hamilton territory. Man, when he’s on he has such a sweet swing.
So that ends the nine game losing streak. I’ll be back in the Bronx next week looking to build on this success.
